Klamath Falls operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of a Mayor and five City Council Members. Appointed by and reporting to the City Councilors, the City Manager serves as chief administrative and executive officer for the City and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization.
The City seeks an experienced local government professional who can immediately begin working to maintain the financial strength of the City and thoughtfully prepare for the future. The position requires a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field and 7-10 years of progressively responsible management experience, preferably in the public sector. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
This position requires a valid Oregon driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within three months of the hire date.
In accordance with Oregon law, qualified veterans may be eligible for Veterans’ Preference in public employment.
