|The Town of West Yellowstone, a dynamic community of 1300 people with a seasonal population of upwards of 12,000, is seeking a progressive community-oriented Chief of Police. The starting salary range is between $70,000 and $90,000 per year with excellent benefit package including vacation leave, sick leave, paid holidays, family health/dental/vision coverage and participation in the Montana Police Officers Retirement system.
Under the general administrative direction of the Town Manager, plans, directs, manages, and oversees the activities and operations of the Police Department including law enforcement, crime prevention, community outreach, and administrative support services and activities; coordinates assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Town Manager.
