Please join USDA Rural Utilities Services for a comprehensive ReConnect Program workshop on Monday, August 26 in Bozeman. I have attached the agenda and an overview of the ReConnect grant and loan program.
This year, USDA will award $600 million in grants and low-interest loans through the ReConnect broadband program. All of the following are eligible for broadband loans and grants under the ReConnect Program: state and local governments; federally-recognized Indian Tribes; non-profit entities; for-profit corporations and LLCs; and cooperative or mutual organizations.
Ken Kuchno, ReConnect Program Project Manager, will travel with his team from Washington, D.C. to provide an informational workshop covering program-specific details needed for the application process. The workshop aims to increase the number of successful applicants from Montana for the next round of USDA ReConnect broadband program funding by providing potential applicants with general program information as well as financial, engineering and environmental requirements.
I want to see more successful ReConnect projects around the state of Montana next year. Providing broadband access to rural businesses and residents promotes rural prosperity, impacting the entire community.
