RAISE Grants for East Helena and Belgrade

East Helena has been granted $10.2 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation to redevelop Valley Drive and build out more road infrastructure in the city where new housing developments are expanding. And, Belgrade is getting a $25 million federal transportation grant for the Belgrade Urban Project, which includes construction of a new underpass where Jackrabbit Lane intersects with the BNSF railroad and expanding the busy roadway to five lanes between Main Street (Frontage Road) and Madison Avenue. Both cities are receiving the funding through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant program.
