The City of Bozeman Recreation Team is now accepting applications for a year-round part-time Recreation Leader who is responsible for planning, and implementing a wide variety of recreational activities, camps, programs, and special events. The ideal candidate will be creative, flexible, enjoy preparing lesson plans, promoting recreational activities, and interacting with a wide variety of community members, especially children.
Wage: $22.05 per hour
Work Week: Up to 17.5 hours per week.
Typically, Wednesday and Friday 3:30pm – 9:30pm, and Sundays 4:00pm – 9:00pm.
Schedule adjusts on a rotating basis to accommodate facility check-ins and special events.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED, and
• Experience (at least 3 months) in leading recreational activities or child development, or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Required Special Qualifications:
• This position requires operation of a company vehicle; candidates must be 18 years of age or older and meet all company driving eligibility requirements.
• Must possess a current valid Driver’s License and have the ability to obtain a Montana Driver’s license within 60 days of employment.
• Must obtain and maintain certifications in the following:
o Adult, Child and Infant First Aid/CPR/AED.
