Intern – Civil Engineering – Missoula

The Civil Engineering Intern position will complete an 8-week long summer project, such as: piloting new technology to identify leaking water from Missoula’s water distribution system.

A Civil Engineer Internship position at the City of Missoula will provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in a Montana Public Works & Mobility Department, and to learn and observe the many components of City Engineering and Public Works, including but not limited to the following areas:
Water distribution system design and maintenance,
Cutting edge leak detection technology,
Real world utility construction techniques,
Ride-a-longs with paving crews or water main leak crews,
In-the-field data collection techniques,
GIS web-map creation.
